Iván Benítez

Photojournalist born in Zaragoza in 1972. Graduate in Media Studies from the University of Navarra, Spain he has worked mostly covering conflicts, natural disasters (hurricane Mitch) and famines. Countries like the former Yugoslavia, Lebanon, Palestine, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Bolivia, Peru, Colombia and many others.

The awards he has received include the Teobaldo awards for Journalists in Navarra in 2010; Teobaldo award for best photograph in 2014; and the ONCE Solidarity Award, Navarra 2015. He has worked for various local and national press media and works with international news agencies and organisations such as ALBOAN.
